The 45th Aya Craft Festival will be held in Aya Town, Miyazaki Prefecture, from Saturday, November 21 to Monday (national holiday), November 23, 2026. The venues are the Aya Town Gymnasium and the Aya Town Budo Hall. This festival is a direct-sale event where craft items created with devotion by workshops and artisans in Aya Town gather in one place. Held under the theme of "Making things that connect hearts" (Kokoro o Tsunagu Monodukuri), it expresses gratitude toward what supports craftsmanship. Craft items across a wide range of genres—such as woodworking, dyeing and weaving, ceramics, glass craft, metal craft, Japanese paper (washi) craft, and bamboo craft—are exhibited and sold, proposing a lifestyle where you can see the faces of the creators. Starting from just a few workshops, this event has now grown into a major craft event with around 40 participating workshops. Many pieces can only be obtained at the Craft Festival, attracting fans from all over the country. The warm atmosphere, planned by the craftspeople themselves to welcome visitors, is also one of its charms.
