Symbolizing autumn in Urahoro Town, the 'Urahoro Furusato no Minori Festival' is a treasure trove of food and excitement. During the daytime, the 'Minori Market' is held, where visitors can savor fresh seafood and mountain produce from Urahoro. Highlights of the festival include a raffle with luxury prizes and one of Japan's largest rice-cake tossing events (Minori-maki), featuring a total of 360 kg of mochi. In addition, a wide variety of programs are scheduled, including 'hand-catching autumn salmon' in the fountain pond, a song show by popular singers, and performances of local traditional performing arts. Furthermore, approximately 1,000 fireworks will be launched at night to color the clear autumn night sky. It is an event where you can spend a luxurious day unique to Tokachi, leisurely feeling the deepening of autumn while enjoying delicious gourmet food.
