10th Nishimera Sky Trail

Set against the rich nature of Nishimera Village, 'Nishimera Sky Trail' is a sky trail competition featuring diverse divisions including Long, Vertical, Short, and Dog Pair. The ridge extending from the center of the village to the highest peak, Mount Ichifusa (elevation 1,720 m), is handed down as the pathway of the spirit 'Karikobozo,' offering breathtaking panoramic views from the summit truly worthy of being called the 'sky.' This competition aims to convey the charms of Nishimera Village nationwide through participants' experiences, contributing to increasing the village's visiting population, promoting relocation, and fostering village development where residents can continue living with pride. The Long course is 40.5 km with a cumulative elevation gain of 3,164 m and a time limit of 9 hours. The Vertical course is 20.2 km with a cumulative elevation gain of 2,360 m and a time limit of 5 hours. The Short course is 9 km with a cumulative elevation gain of 650 m, and the Dog Pair course is 4.5 km with a cumulative elevation gain of 260 m. Entries are on a first-come, first-served basis and will close once capacity is reached. Participation fees vary by division: 10,000 yen for general Long course, 6,000 yen for general Vertical course, 4,000 yen for general Short course, and 6,000 yen for Dog Pair.
