50th Hoshi no Furu Sato Ashibetsu Agricultural Festival
Japanese name:第50回星の降る里・芦別農業まつり
📅 Sat, Aug 22, 2026
About this event
An agricultural festival marking a half-century milestone in Ashibetsu City, Hokkaido, known as the "Town of Falling Stars." At the venue on Ashibetsu City Kita-Odori, fresh locally harvested vegetables and fruits will gather in abundance, bustling as a harvest festival. The exhibition and sale of agricultural produce is the greatest highlight, offering a precious opportunity to purchase the rich bounty nurtured by the land of Hokkaido directly from producers. In addition, food corners where visitors can savor local flavors and hands-on agricultural experience events are planned, making it a day where visitors can fully experience the charms of Ashibetsu. In past editions, in addition to sales of fresh agricultural produce such as melons and pumpkins, free distributions of Ashibetsu-grown rice and Hakuchomochi rice, as well as food trucks offering fried chicken halves and pizza, bustled with many visitors. The year 2026 marks the commemorative 50th milestone, raising high expectations for special programs as well.
