Ashibetsu Star Maranic 2026

About this event

This is a maranic (marathon and picnic) along a course set in the urban center of Ashibetsu City, formerly a coal mining town, where participants can interact with citizens while touching upon everyday life. At aid stations, local specialty products will be provided to satisfy the taste, palate, and stomach of participants. After the maranic, a lottery where local specialty products can be won is also prepared, enlivening the event even further. Short and long courses are available, allowing selection according to age and physical fitness. Participation prizes are also provided.
