About this event
Under the subtitle '~Delicious Smiles in Full Bloom! A Grand Gathering of Kanoya's Delicacies!~', the 48th Kanoya City Agriculture Festival—one of the prefecture's largest agricultural events—will be held. An array of Kanoya's best foods will be featured, including Kagoshima Kuroushi beef packs, garapon lotteries, light-truck markets, agricultural-welfare collaboration booths, sweet potato stuffing challenges, Kanoya amberjack filleting demonstrations, whole-roasted amberjack and pork, and complimentary wild game tastings. Visitors of all ages can enjoy smart farming demonstrations, cow milking experiences, a small animal petting corner, and live musical performances by kindergarteners, high schoolers, and the Kimotsuki Fire Department Band. The concurrently held Osumi Timber Festival will also feature a mock framework-raising ceremony, shiitake spore-plug inoculation, woodworking crafts, and log cutting activities.
