1st Makurazaki Bonito Field Meister Certification Test

About this event

This certification test aims to help participants acquire proper knowledge about various aspects of bonito—including bonito landed in Makurazaki and katsuobushi (dried bonito flakes) produced locally—apply it to their own dietary habits, and re-evaluate and widely promote the value of bonito. It provides an opportunity to experience the charm and value of Makurazaki's bonito and katsuobushi by looking, listening, trying, and tasting. Hearing firsthand stories from the field is another appealing feature. As a related event, a talk event titled 'Unraveling Satsuma Culture from the Historical Consultation of the Taiga Drama Segodon' will also be held.
