About this event
The 'Kayosai' festival will be held in Izumi City, Kagoshima Prefecture. Co-hosted by Izumi Driving School and Tsutsui Tokimasa Toy Fireworks Factory, this event proposes a new way to enjoy summer nights by combining 'firework play' with a 'night market.' The usually quiet former driving course turns into a family-friendly venue for this day only. Rather than just watching fireworks, visitors can enjoy them with all five senses through making their own sparklers (senko hanabi), playing with toy fireworks on the spot, and watching musical fireworks synchronized with music. Delicious food and drinks will also be served, creating a night that feels fresh for children and nostalgic for adults. In the authentic sparkler-making workshop, participants can experience the traditional craft process of wrapping gunpowder in paper and carefully twisting it. Furthermore, in the popular 'Whale Fireworks Making Workshop,' you can enjoy assembling a spouting whale firework while coloring it however you like. Admission is free, but priority is given to reservations for fireworks play and workshops. Creating a new summer scene in Izumi, it is an ideal event for families, friends, and couples.
