5th Satsuma Town Industry Festival & JA Agriculture Festival

About this event

Held as Satsuma Town's autumn harvest festival, the "5th Satsuma Town Industry Festival & JA Agriculture Festival" features sales at the ever-popular agricultural/forestry product and food corners, alongside a "Kagoshima Black Beef Great Special Sale" and a "Town-Grown New Harvest Rice Special Sale." Furthermore, a special guest show presented by JA Kita-Satsuma (North Satsuma Agricultural Cooperative) is scheduled to entertain the venue. The event hosts agricultural and forestry product exhibition/direct-sales booths, a Satsuma Town specialty product corner, goodwill exchange town specialty corners, and food booths. A variety of activities will take place, including the JA Drawing and Calligraphy Contest awards ceremony, local folk performing arts, fire prevention awareness, a Japan Self-Defense Forces corner and disaster prevention awareness, a 0-yen secondhand book market, a Satsuma Karuta tournament, a PTA festival, oral cancer screenings, a health consultation corner, an introduction to the Comprehensive Support Center, a "Forest Building for the Future" experience (laser engraving on bamboo and recycled materials), coin drop games, gender equality promotion, international exchange, and renewable energy education. Visitors can also enjoy a Satsuma Town BBQ feast (where you can come empty-handed and eat your fill of town-grown beef, vegetables, and freshly harvested rice) as well as a grand lottery, making it an enjoyable event throughout the entire day.
