About this event
"Comeback Tokunoshima - Hometown Love Journey - 2026" is a project supporting trips to visit Tokunoshima, the ancestral and parental homeland, and experience its charms. Subsidies covering part of the travel expenses are provided to members of Tokunoshima hometown associations and friendship societies in the Kanto and Kansai regions, as well as their household members. Through experiences on Tokunoshima, this project aims to help participants connect with their roots and deepen their love for their hometown. Specifically, a free Tokunoshima experience tour will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026 (Reiwa 8), and free participation in the "Dondon Festival" will take place the following day on Saturday, October 31. Participants are also requested to cooperate with a questionnaire. This offers an opportunity to create unforgettable memories through rich nature, culture, and interactions with the warm-hearted people of Tokunoshima.
