43rd Unna Festival

About this event

The "43rd Unna Festival," held in Onna Village, Okinawa Prefecture, will take place over two days on Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the Onna Village Community Square. As the grand finale of the festival, the "12th Onna Village Churaumi Fireworks Festival" is scheduled for the final day, Sunday, October 4, starting at 20:00 for approximately 20 minutes, allowing visitors to enjoy fireworks illuminating the night sky. Viewing the fireworks display is announced as free of charge. In addition to fireworks and outdoor live performances, numerous stalls including food trucks will line the venue to liven up the festival. Temporary parking is planned at the Onna Village Akama Comprehensive Sports Ground and Seragaki Fishing Port, though parking capacity, shuttle bus operating conditions, timetables, and fares have unannounced details. When using local route buses, take bus No. 20 or No. 120 to "Manza Beach-mae," from where the venue is approximately a 10-minute walk. Overall start/end times and timetable for the festival have not yet been released, but those primarily visiting for fireworks are recommended to plan for October 4. Stall vendor applications are open until Friday, August 14, 2026 (Reiwa 8) at 17:00, with priority given to businesses and organizations in the village as well as Onna Village Chamber of Commerce members. Applications for stage performers have already closed. Sponsorship applications are also being accepted, seeking support from companies, organizations, and individuals supporting the festival.
