About this event
The Konpira Festival held in Minamidaito Village is a traditional festival praying for the safety of maritime voyages, port cargo handling, and fishing expeditions. Centering on port-related personnel and fishery workers, volunteers within the village gather, and Shinto rituals are conducted at Kotohira Shrine. This festival reflects the faith of the local people who give thanks for the blessings of the sea and pray for safe fishing and maritime voyages.
