Held as part of the Shuri Castle Main Hall Reconstruction Commemorative Project under the theme 'The Resilience and Expansion of Local Culture,' the Kumejima Committee event focuses on 'Traditional Culture of the Island,' allowing visitors to experience the charm of traditional performing arts and culture handed down on the island. Experiencing the precious culture inherited from ancestors will provide an opportunity to feel the present and future of Kumejima. This event is part of a project held in 7 locations across the prefecture to commemorate the reconstruction of the Shuri Castle Main Hall, which is scheduled for completion in autumn 2026 (Reiwa 8). By engaging with culture unique to Kumejima, visitors can experience firsthand the underlying strength of the region and how it expands.
