About this event
Held as part of JR East Aomori Branch's initiatives for "Railway Day" and "Railway Period," the "Aomori Station Festival" will take place on the Aomori Station Free Concourse (2nd floor) on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 (public holiday). The event features a JR East train simulator experience (paid, advance reservation required), as well as exhibitions of the old station building's "Station" signboard, railway supplies, and railway toys. In addition, a wide range of programs celebrating railway charms will be offered, including a "Consultation Counter for Anything" by Ekitabi Concierge Aomori, photo sessions and merchandise sales with TRAIN SUITE Shiki-shima crew, railway goods and ice cream sales by Tohoku Shinkansen attendants, and a children's uniform dress-up experience (Station Master and Attendant uniforms). Furthermore, the "Autumn Connect Stamp Rally" will cover Aomori Station Building Lovina, &LOVINA, A-FACTORY, NewDays Aomori East Exit Waiting Area, Aomori Prefectural Center for Tourism and Industry ASPAM, Seikan Ferryboat Memorial Ship Hakkoda-maru, and Nebuta Museum WA-RASSE, where presents will be awarded upon presenting shopping receipts meeting a certain amount at eligible facilities. Temporary sales of ekiben (station bento boxes) will also be held on the 1st floor of the Aomori Station Free Concourse and directly in front of the entrance of the Seikan Ferryboat Memorial Ship Hakkoda-maru. This event is conducted as part of the "Social Experiment for the Utilization of Aomori Station Free Concourse" under a town planning partnership agreement led by Aomori City.
