This is a hands-on experience tour aboard Tohoku's first amphibious bus, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the nature of Nishimeya Village and lake cruising on Lake Tsugaru Shirakami. The thrilling moment when the bus driving on land splashes directly into the lake is a unique highlight of this tour. While listening to the guide's commentary, the tour travels through village settlements and rich natural landscapes; upon arriving at Lake Tsugaru Shirakami, it takes a relaxing cruise across the dam lake surrounded by mountains. Guests can appreciate the waterside scenery while feeling the refreshing breeze. The course, combining land and water routes for approximately 60 minutes, offers different beautiful facets of the Shirakami Mountains depending on the season. In particular, the special tour held on the third Friday of every month offers an inspection tour inside Tsugaru Dam, serving as a rare opportunity to observe the structure of the dam up close with commentary. Visitors can view the scenery of the four seasons from the water, such as spring wild cherry blossoms, fresh green foliage, and autumn leaves.
