23rd Hokkaido Shinkin Bank Sakkyo Classic & Pops Concert

About this event

A special concert presented by the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra blending classical and pop music. Tadaaki Otaka <Conductor Laureate> will serve as conductor. In Part 1, classical masterpieces will be performed, starting with J.S. Bach's 'Piece d'orgue (Fantasia) in G major, BWV 572,' followed by J. Strauss II's operetta 'Die Fledermaus' Overture, Annen-Polka, Perpetuum Mobile, and Offenbach's 'Orpheus in the Underworld' Overture. In Part 2, moving to pop music, the venue will be enlivened with film music and familiar pieces, including 'I Could Have Danced All Night' from F. Loewe's 'My Fair Lady,' 'Moon River' from H. Mancini's 'Breakfast at Tiffany's,' Love Theme from N. Rota's 'The Godfather,' E. Morricone's 'Cinema Paradiso,' Theme from J. Williams' 'Schindler's List,' and the Main Title from 'Star Wars.' Tickets are available at the main and branch counters of Hokkaido Shinkin Bank, at 2,500 yen (tax included) for all reserved seating. Preschool children are not admitted.
