Nanbu Town Municipal Local Wholesale Market 60th Anniversary Market Festival

About this event

This "Market Festival" is held to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the opening of the Nanbu Town Municipal Local Wholesale Market. A wide variety of events is planned, starting with an opening ceremony, marching band and joint brass band performances, and live shows. A mock auction unique to the wholesale market will also take place, offering a chance to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at great bargain prices if luck is on your side. On the day, the entire community will come together to liven up the event with gratitude toward producers and the many people involved with the market. The mock auction accepts reservations for the first 30 people, with chances where 5,000 yen worth of fruits and vegetables may be purchased at half price. As limited-quantity sales will also be available, arriving early is recommended. It will be a day to enjoy gourmet food and shopping while feeling the vibrant energy of the market.
