48th Nayoro Industry Festival

The annual '48th Nayoro Industry Festival' in Nayoro City, Hokkaido, will be held again this year at Asaeshima Park. This event focuses on agriculture and agricultural products, the core industry of Nayoro City, which boasts the largest planted area of glutinous rice (mochigome) in Japan. Various programs enjoyable for children and adults will be held, including direct sales of Nayoro-produced agricultural and livestock products and processed goods, a spectacular mochimaki (rice cake toss) where approximately 200 kg of mochi fly through the air, and the annually popular Tonton Corner. Food trucks will also be present, allowing visitors to taste Nayoro's agricultural and livestock products. Vendors are also being recruited, making it an excellent opportunity to enliven the local community.
