About this event
This event aims to create a cross-generational and cross-genre space for exchange through music, dance, and traditional performing arts in Kitakami City, Iwate Prefecture, while revitalizing the local community and elevating its cultural appeal. Centered around Kitakami residents, it offers a venue for everyone from children to seniors to easily participate and enjoy culture. The event serves as an opportunity to pass local cultural assets to the next generation and allows various organizations active within and outside the city to showcase their regular achievements. Experiencing diverse expressions such as music, dance, and local performing arts fosters a deeper understanding of their unique value and charm. Furthermore, new connections that cross fields and generations will be forged, contributing to the continuation and development of cultural activities. The program also features an interactive "Amateur Singing Contest" (Nodo Jiman) where the joy of performing on stage meets heartfelt encouragement from the audience, boosting participant engagement and visitor satisfaction. The schedule has been thoughtfully designed by time slot to allow visitors of all ages—from children to the elderly—to attend comfortably according to their own lifestyles.
