2026 Run Fes Kitakami is a running event held in Kitakami City, Iwate Prefecture. Half marathon and 10km events are available, and high school students and older can participate. With a time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes for the half marathon and 2 hours for the 10km, the course settings are friendly even for runners aiming to finish for the first time. Boasting aid stations where you can enjoy local flavors, participants can enjoy the race while tasting specialty products of Kitakami City. On the day of the event, SanDisk Stadium Kitakami will serve as the starting point, with the half marathon starting and finishing at the stadium, and the 10km finishing in front of the health and childcare support complex hoKko. T-shirts are prepared as participation prizes, and finishers will be awarded a digital finisher certificate (WEB finisher certificate) and a finisher medal. In addition, certificate of merit will be awarded to prize winners. In the Festival Division held concurrently with the race, attendees can enjoy a food festival, stage events, and various vendor booths. For transportation access, it takes about 10 minutes by car from JR Kitakami Station, and free shuttle buses will also operate. 1,000 parking spaces are prepared at Kitakami Sports Park, but because the number of spaces is limited, using the free shuttle bus is recommended. Event operation is handled by the Run Fes Kitakami Executive Committee, consisting of organizations including Kitakami City. Entries via hometown tax donation (Furusato Nozei) are also possible, but the U25 discount does not apply. The rights to publish video, photos, records, etc., of the event belong to the organizer.
