Held in Takizawa City, Iwate Prefecture, "Parent-Child Festa 2026 & Takizawa Asobosai 2026" is a hands-on event for parents and children to enjoy all day long. It will be held from 10:00 to 16:00 across the entire Big Roof Takizawa building and the Disaster Prevention Plaza. The venue features a variety of activity corners that children will love, including the "Slightly Challenging Exercise Challenge," cooking workshops, English trial classes, and Iwate wood education (mokuiku) activities. Corporate booths useful for parenting, a parent-child market, light food and goods sales, food trucks, and stalls will create a lively atmosphere. A stamp rally will also be held for visitors to enjoy. At the concurrently held "Takizawa Asobosai," visitors can also learn about and practice disaster preparedness. Admission is free, though some activity booths may charge a fee. The event will be held rain or shine, so you can enjoy it regardless of the weather.
