About this event
A performance of "Take Kagura," a traditional folk performing art handed down in the Take area of Ohasama, Hanamaki City. Designated as a National Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property in 1976 under "Hayachine Kagura," it was also inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2009. Take Kagura is one of its preservation groups, and this year marks the 50-year milestone since its designation as a National Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property. This performance provides an opportunity to experience precious traditional performing arts. Admission fees for junior high school students and younger are 1,000 yen in advance (1,500 yen on the day), and for the general public, 1,500 yen in advance (2,000 yen on the day). Same-day tickets will not be sold if advance tickets are sold out. Tickets can be purchased at the Tourism and Cultural Information Plaza on the 2nd floor of Plaza Odette, or reserved online. Ticket payments must be settled at the reception on the day (cash only).
