Held in Shizukuishi Town, Iwate Prefecture, the Shizukuishi Ginga Station Autumn Festival 2026 is a major autumn event where visitors can fully enjoy local food and crafts, with JR Shizukuishi Station serving as the venue. On the day, dishes popular at the Shizukuishi Town Hall cafeteria from corek Shokudo can be savored right at the station, and a satellite direct-sales stall from Roadside Station Shizukuishi Anekko (Michi-no-Eki Shizukuishi Anekko) will appear selling fresh agricultural produce. In addition to satisfying your autumn appetite, there will be a hands-on corner where you can decorate cookies with icing to make your own original cookies, as well as booths exhibiting and selling regional craft works. Furthermore, tastings and sales of sake from Kiku no Tsukasa Brewery can be enjoyed. As one of the event highlights, a free serving of imonoko-jiru (taro soup) will be offered, limited to 100 portions and ending once supplies run out. An all-you-can-stuff sweet potato event is also planned, packed with content for adults and children alike. It is an unmissable festival where you can experience the full charm of autumn in Shizukuishi right at the station.
