About this event
The Shizukuishi Town General Arts Festival is an annual autumn festival providing opportunities to showcase and exhibit the achievements of town residents' artistic activities, as well as opportunities for art appreciation. It will be held from Sunday, November 1 to Tuesday (public holiday), November 3, 2026, at the Shizukuishi Town Central Community Center and Nogiku Hall. Paintings, photography, calligraphy, haiku, ink wash paintings, handicrafts, and works by elementary and junior high school students will be displayed at the Central Community Center, alongside ikebana flower arrangement, modern floral design, and a chrysanthemum exhibition. A stamp rally collecting stamps inside the venue will offer prizes. On the Nogiku Hall stage, Western dance, choral singing, and yokyoku chanting are scheduled for November 1, and koto music, Taisho koto, and piano recitals are scheduled for November 3. While there are no stage performances on November 2, the exhibitions will be open. On November 1 and 3 from 10:00 to 15:00, complimentary matcha tea ceremony services will also be provided. Admission is free, and opening hours are from 9:30 to 16:30 (until 16:00 on the final day). As a venue for showcasing lifelong learning achievements, visitors can experience the diverse artistic endeavors of the local residents.
