About this event

The 26th Yahaba Town Road Race 'Yahaba Den-en Run', held in Yahaba Town, Iwate Prefecture, is a road race event running through beautiful rural landscapes. Starting and finishing in front of the Yahaba Town Office, participants can break a pleasant sweat under the refreshing autumn sky. The event offers 10km, 5km, 3km, and a 2km family pair division that families can enjoy, allowing runners of a wide range of ages and fitness levels to participate. Time limits are set for each category, allowing participants to aim to finish at their own pace. All participants will receive a short-sleeved T-shirt, hospitality vouchers, and a finisher certificate, and there is also a chance to win local specialty products through a raffle. In addition, a blood pressure measurement corner will be set up at the venue to support participants' health. Representative athletes of the Ichinoseki-Morioka Ekiden Race and track-and-field / ekiden clubs from junior high schools in the town are also invited to enliven the event. Overlooking Mount Nansho, which also appears in the works of Kenji Miyazawa, this is an event where you can experience the joy of running while fully enjoying nature.
