Held in the Akka area of Iwaizumi Town, the "Akka Thanksgiving Festival" (Akka Kanshasai) is an event where visitors can fully experience the charm of the Akka area through sales of local produce, complimentary servings of hot mushroom soup, and the Nanyatoyara Bon Odori dance passed down in the region. This festival aims to support the Akka area as it energetically works toward recovery from the heavy rain disaster of Typhoon No. 10 and to share that vitality both locally and beyond. Visitors can savor local specialties and experience traditional Bon dancing while feeling the warmth and vibrant spirit of the community.
