Held in Tome City, one of Tohoku's leading producers of delicious rice boasting the highest agricultural output in Miyagi Prefecture, the "Tome Rice Festival" is a hands-on event aiming to transition from conventional "sightseeing to watch" to "experiential tourism" where visitors can directly feel the true charm of Tome. With Tome City's greatest pride, "rice", as the main theme, delicious cooked rice from Tome will be brought together. Through this event, participants can thoroughly experience the rich food culture and agricultural charm of Tome.
