The 'Palette Summer Festival', held at Osaki Lifelong Learning Center in Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, is a special summer event. It will be held across the entire building on Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 10:00 to 15:40. Admission is free, but sales corners will charge fees. The event features a wide range of content: the 'Palette Movie Screening' offers the movie 'Butt Detective the Movie: Star and Moon' on a big screen. In addition, the 'Toy Hospital Doremi Opens!' features toy doctors repairing toys, and the popular 'Surprise! Haunted Room' lets visitors cool off in the summer heat. In the science experiment classroom, students from Furukawa Reimei High School's Natural Science Club will conduct experiments such as 'Earth Origami' and 'Move a Car with Programming'. Furthermore, in cooperation with Tohoku University Tohoku Medical Megabank Organization, 'The Invisible Power Supporting Medicine!? Experience the Wonders of Sound and Magnetism!' will feature a VR earthquake simulation experience (for ages 7 and older). The planetarium will host a special one-day projection of 'Arctic: The Radiant Ice Kingdom' along with constellation commentary. At the venue, sales of water yo-yos and shaved ice by Cafeteria Amenity are also planned.
