Lake Shichigashuku Circuit Walking 2026

About this event

This is an event to walk approximately 12 km around Lake Shichigashuku, selected as one of the 100 Best Dam Lakes in Japan, while enjoying forest bathing in autumn Shichigashuku Town. It is divided into a General Walk division and a Nordic Walk division, and serving of seasonal mushroom soup is planned after finishing the walk. Gathering at Shichigashuku Dam Natural Recreation Park, reception starts at 7:45 AM, the opening ceremony at 8:30 AM, and departure at 8:40 AM. The scheduled finish time is 12:40 PM. The participation fee is 1,500 yen, and the capacity is 200 participants. Required items to bring include a hat, comfortable walking shoes, drinking water, a towel, rain gear, and health insurance card (copy). Since Nordic poles are not available for rent, participants must bring their own. The event proceeds rain or shine, but if cancelled due to typhoons or other circumstances, local specialty products will be sent. Pledges for participation include observing the Road Traffic Act and walking with full attention to safety as some sections do not have traffic restrictions, understanding the purpose of the event, and refraining from competing with others, bringing pets, or using strollers. In addition, agreement is required regarding self-reporting and self-management of health conditions, understanding and cooperation with event operations, liability waivers, consent to first aid, and handling of portrait rights and personal information.
