Lito Leaf Cutout Mini Exhibition Event

A mini exhibition event by leaf cutout artist Lito will be held at Yokote City Lifelong Learning Center Ao-na in Akita Prefecture. Having started self-taught leaf cutout art using real leaves in 2020 and continuously sharing works on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), Lito will have 20 pieces on display, including works themed around Akita. The worlds unfolding on single leaves through delicate technique have drawn attention both in Japan and internationally from a unique perspective that makes the most of ADHD traits. Additionally, on Saturday, September 26, a workshop to create leaf cutout art together with Lito (participation fee 1,000 yen) and a talk show to hear behind-the-scenes stories of creation (free of charge) will be held, with an autograph session scheduled after the talk show for purchasers of books or calendars. It is a valuable opportunity to encounter art made with familiar natural materials and experience the artist's creative activities up close.
