Held in Yokote City, Akita Prefecture, the "21st Yokote Old Car Festival 2026" is one of the largest classic car events in the Tohoku region. Around 300 classic cars gather not only from within Akita Prefecture but from all across Tohoku, brightening up the venue. More than just a classic car exhibition, this event strongly possesses the aspect of a local festival, with activities such as mochimaki (rice cake scattering), allowing even those unfamiliar with vintage cars to thoroughly enjoy it as a festival. The venue also features a wide selection of food booths and a flea market, making it recommended to combine with autumn sightseeing in Yokote. The warm atmosphere, reminiscent of a local autumn festival that can be enjoyed even if you are not a hardcore vintage car enthusiast, is one of its attractions.
