Yokote Station West Exit Festival

Held at the JR Yokote Station West Exit Plaza, the 'Yokote Station West Exit Festival' is an event bringing together Yokote's food, culture, and performing arts. At the venue, visitors can enjoy stage events and Yokote gourmet food. Notably, Yokote's specialty 'yakimochi' (grilled rice cake) served to the first 300 visitors each day is a highlight. In addition, 'Dainogawa Mobile Brewery' offering carefully selected sake and gourmet booths gathering everything from classic Yokote dishes to the latest trends will appear. The regular Yokote Products Association Bingo Tournament offers luxurious prizes including local specialties of Yokote. On Saturday the 5th, stage performances are scheduled including Mitake Seiryu Taiko, YOSAKOI dance, toast with BIG BOSS, Sara & Airi, uacuma, JR Brass Band, FUJIYA & YUKA, and JAZZ. On Sunday the 6th, visitors can enjoy YOSAKOI dance, Yokote Wind Orchestra, toast with BIG BOSS, Cross Wave Dance Studio, La Baume Wind Orchestra, pop unit Nanasato, and Ichiro Takahashi Song Show. Furthermore, as a collaborative event with JR East, special operation of the extra train 'Yokote Station Festival Train' and hands-on events such as rail scooter rides, track inspection experience, kids stationmaster uniform experience, can badge making, and capsule toy challenges will be held. A railroad antique sale and auction will also take place, featuring ED75 electric locomotive related goods and equipment previously used at the station.
