Summer Ski Jumping 2026 Yamagata Zao Tournament

Held at the Yamagata City Zao Ski Jumping Hill (Ariontech Zao Schanze), the "Summer Ski Jumping 2026 Yamagata Zao Tournament" is an official Ski Association of Japan Class-A sanctioned event. Japan's top jumpers will showcase spectacular jumps into the summer sky. World-class star athletes are scheduled to participate, including Tomofumi Naito, who claimed his first World Cup victory last season, ski-jumping legend Noriaki Kasai, and Milano-Cortina Olympic medalists Ryoyu Kobayashi and Nozomi Maruyama, offering spectators an up-close look at powerful jumps and heated midsummer competition. On tournament day, an opening ceremony, trial round, first round, final round, and awards ceremony will take place. Spectating is free of charge, though paid viewing seats are also available. In addition, visitors can enjoy various events such as complimentary imoni (taro and meat stew) servings, food and beverage stalls, Seiun Taiko drum performances, VR virtual ski-jumping experiences, and backyard tours. A live YouTube broadcast is scheduled so fans unable to attend the venue can still watch the thrilling competition. Furthermore, it is held as part of the "Summer Jump Tour 2026" set across Yamagata, Niigata, and Nagano, complete with a stamp rally.
