Authentic and Casual! Dadacha-mame Harvesting Experience Event

About this event

This harvesting experience event aims to promote "Dadacha-mame" edamame, a signature specialty product of Tsuruoka City. Held annually since 2016, it is scheduled to take place in late August 2026. On the day of the event, you can experience harvesting "10 Dadacha-mame plants" in an actual field, and you can take home all the harvested beans. Because veteran farmers assist, anyone from small children to adults can easily participate without a reservation. You can experience the luxury of boiling and tasting Dadacha-mame at home immediately after harvest, when freshness is paramount. Please bring clothes that can get dirty, work gloves, and bags for taking edamame home. Bringing a cooler box is also recommended if you wish to maintain freshness. The venue is the agricultural field adjacent to Nunome Community Center at 27-2 Nishidori, Nunome, Tsuruoka City. The participation fee is 1,000 yen per person.
