Shinjo-Mogami Rainbow March 2026

About this event

Under the theme "Let's Start Walking as We Truly Are!", the "Shinjo-Mogami Rainbow March 2026" will be held to deepen local understanding of sexual minorities and aim for a society where everyone can live authentically. Marching through Shinjo City, this citizen march brings together sexual minorities and their supporters to walk side by side. Anyone who supports the cause is welcome to participate. On the day of the event, following opening remarks, an explanation of the purpose, and opening performances, participants will march through the city center carrying flags to music. In addition, exhibitions, sales, and workshops by sponsoring companies and organizations will take place, including collaborative cookie sales by Suginoko House, workshops by Reframelaboratory, collaborative exhibitions by the Shinjo City Library, and sales of Rainbow March-related goods. The march will proceed rain or shine, but will be cancelled in the event of severe weather. You can join alone, with family, or with friends, as the event aims to foster mutual respect for diversity and create a community where everyone feels at home. Sponsors are also being sought, calling for cooperation from individuals, organizations, and businesses who endorse and wish to support the event's mission.
