The 19th Sketching Competition and Painting Exhibition: "Drawing Landscapes with the Giant Zelkova"

About this event

A sketching competition and painting exhibition centered around Japan's largest giant zelkova tree towering in the schoolyard of Higashine Elementary School will be held. The sketching competition will take place on Saturday, September 26, from 9:00 to 12:00 in front of the Higashine Elementary School Giant Zelkova, and anyone can participate as long as they bring painting supplies such as paints, brushes, or crayons. Drawing paper and drawing boards will be provided by the organizer. The participation fee is 100 yen per person (including insurance), and the application deadline is Wednesday, September 23 (Autumnal Equinox Day). Applications can be submitted by phone, FAX (48-7232), or at Higashinomori. Works submitted to the sketching competition will be exhibited inside Higashinomori from Saturday, October 17 to Monday, October 26. The exhibition hours are from 9:00 to 16:30 (until 15:00 on the final day). Numerous prizes have been prepared, and family participation is warmly welcomed.
