About this event

Held around the Surikami River Dam in the Moniwa district of Fukushima City, the "17th Surikami River Dam Moniwakko Festival 2026" is an event where visitors can learn about the dam while getting close to the forest and lake. There will be a special public opening of the dam inspection gallery, which is normally closed to the public, as well as a hydroelectric power plant VR tour experience corner. In addition, kayak experiences, sales of local specialty goods and Moniwakko soup curry by local NPOs, and food and drink booths will be featured, providing fun for both adults and children. It is a community-rooted festival where you can learn about the dam and Moniwa while having fun.
