About this event

This is the 1st special exhibition held at the Ooyasuba Historical Site Park Guidance Facility in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture. During the Muromachi period, members of the Ashikaga clan connected to the Shogunal family were stationed in Inamura, Sukagawa City, and Sasagawa, Koriyama City, where imperial-style residences (gosho) were established. This exhibition introduces both gosho, which exerted significant influence over the southern Mutsu Province (modern-day Fukushima Prefecture area), alongside gosho and fortified residences located in the Nakadori and Aizu regions. Admission is free.
