About this event
This is information for the 105th edition of "Rojima," a market utilizing the spaces of Sukagawa's long-established shopping streets. This event began in June 2015 with the wish to generate new interactions among people and goods in a town center that had become somewhat quiet. By utilizing various spaces facing downtown backstreets—such as parking lots, vacant storefronts, and plazas that are rarely used on holidays—it creates scenery that is a little different from the everyday. Handmade accessories and carefully selected specialty items are sold, and there are many food and drink stalls, making it enjoyable for families, couples, and more. On the same day, an autumn festival is also held in downtown Sukagawa, making it an ideal stop while strolling and exploring the town. It carries the hope that people will visit this area through Rojima and feel the changes happening within it.
