20th Kagamiishi Ekiden and Road Race

About this event

An ekiden relay where teammates pass the sash (tasuki) and a road race where runners aim for personal bests. This is an event that everyone from beginners to experienced runners can enjoy. Run through Kagamiishi, the town known for 'Morning at the Farm,' and share refreshing sweat and emotional moments! The ekiden spans 5 sections totaling 19.8 km, with the 1st and 4th sections designated exclusively for female runners. The road race features a total of 20 divisions, including parent-and-child, elementary school boys and girls by grade level, junior high school students, and general adult divisions by gender. Mizuno original towels are provided as participation prizes, and completion certificates are awarded to finishers. Last year, a total of 1,488 participants competed (125 in the ekiden division and 1,363 in the road race division). If the number of entrants reaches 1,500, registration may close even during the application period.
