About this event
The "44th Yabuki Town Refreshing Health Marathon - Minna Deppe -" will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2026, in Yabuki Town, Fukushima Prefecture. Set against the early autumn scenery of Yabuki Town, the event promises to be a day where participants break a pleasant sweat and taste local specialties. The event offers 5km, 3km, 2km, and 1km distance categories, with a wide range of divisions designed to accommodate different ages and fitness levels, including Men's Open, Age Group, Junior High School, High School, Women's General, Elementary School, and Parent-Child. In particular, the Parent-Child division features parents running alongside their children and crossing the finish line holding hands; instead of competing for rankings, certificates of completion are awarded, making it an enjoyable event for families. Participation fees are 2,000 yen for adults, 1,500 yen for high school students, and 1,000 yen for elementary school students, junior high school students, and parent-child pairs. Check-in takes place from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM at a specially set up venue inside the Yabuki Town Office parking lot, followed by the opening ceremony at 8:30 AM and staggered starts beginning at 9:20 AM. The 5km, 3km, and 2km courses start in front of the Yabuki Town Office, while the Parent-Child division starts from the town road on the north side of the Yabuki Town Office. Commemorative participation gifts are prepared for runners, and the top 6 finishers in each division will receive awards. The Oldest Participant Award will also be presented to the oldest runner. For transportation access, it is a 5-minute drive from JR Tohoku Main Line Yabuki Station, but since parking is limited to 50 spaces (free), the use of public transportation is recommended. The event is organized by Yabuki Town, Fukushima Prefecture and the Yabuki Town Board of Education, aiming for health promotion and regional revitalization.
