4th Aizu-Yanaizu Akabeko Marathon

The "4th Aizu-Yanaizu Akabeko Marathon" held in Yanaizu Town, Fukushima Prefecture, is an event where you can challenge an ultramarathon while experiencing rich nature and tradition. Three events are prepared—24-hour run, 12-hour run, and 6-hour run—making it a unique tournament where Akabeko cheers you on. The race venue is a loop course (525 m per lap) on the baseball field grounds inside the B&G Ocean Center. An eve festival will also be held, providing an opportunity to discover a new self through interaction with locals. The event takes place from Sunday, October 11 to Monday (public holiday), October 12, 2026. The 24-hour and 6-hour runs start at 10:00 on Sunday, October 11, and the 12-hour run starts at 20:00 on Sunday, October 11. The eve festival is held on Saturday, October 10 from 18:30 at Tsukimoto Ryokan. Entry fees are 24,000 yen for the 24-hour run, 15,000 yen for the 12-hour run, and 10,000 yen for the 6-hour run. Bringing your own cup and headlamp is recommended. Bathing facilities are available at "Tsukimigaoka Town Center" near the race venue.
