Sekitōsaiseikō Mikoshi Parade

About this event

This is a mikoshi (portable shrine) parade organized by Sekitōsaiseikō, held every September in Ishikawa Town, Fukushima Prefecture. It is a traditional festival of Ishikawa where colorful mikoshi and festival floats parade through the town. The main highlight is the parade held from dusk into the night, when the town's mikoshi and floats assemble, filling the venue with fiery enthusiasm accompanied by festival music (ohayashi). In 2026 (Reiwa 8), it is scheduled to be held on September 20, and a children's mikoshi parade will also be held during the daytime on the same day. Further details will be announced later.
