About this event
Hitachi City is home to the nation's only cormorant catching site supporting cormorant fishing (ukai) culture with 1,300 years of history. Set at Kokumin Shukusha Unomisaki, visitors can experience a guided special tour of the cormorant catching site, a special viewing of on-foot cormorant fishing, and watch special documentary footage following the catchers closely.
