General Welfare Center Festival

About this event

Held at the Takahagi City General Welfare Center, the 'General Welfare Center Festival' is an event where visitors can fully enjoy an 'autumn of the arts' through exhibitions featuring fine works by community center club members, as well as splendid stage performances including folk dances, chorus, karaoke, ocarina, kokarina, and dance. There will also be a rich variety of health-related booths, such as physical fitness tests (frailty checks), body composition and vascular age measurements, QOL health checks, oral cancer screenings (reservation required), and Silver Rehabilitation gymnastics experiences. Additionally, visitors can enjoy a knife sharpening corner by the Silver Human Resources Center, volunteer experiences by the Volunteer Liaison Council, traditional storytelling, tea ceremony experiences, and juggling workshops. Participants in the stamp rally will receive a complimentary gift, and the event also qualifies for points in the prefectural health promotion app 'Genki Up! Ri Ibaraki.' On-site support for app downloads will be provided as well, helping participants aim for health maintenance while having fun.
