Held in autumn when Ryujin Gorge is at its most beautifully colored throughout the year, the "Ryujin Gorge Autumn Leaves Festival" takes place in the area centered around the Ryujin Suspension Bridge. Set against the vibrant autumn foliage of Okukuji, the event is packed with activities for adults and children alike, including a stamp rally with chances to win luxurious prizes, direct sales of local specialties from the Suifu district, and food truck stalls. In particular, on Ibaraki Citizen's Day on November 13, there is a special benefit where crossing the Ryujin Suspension Bridge is free of charge. The local products market is held from November 1 to November 30, and food trucks also appear on the opposite bank of the suspension bridge during specific periods. The event aims to promote the local economy and create festive lively atmosphere.
