Listed on the Reiwa 8 (2026) fiscal year annual event schedule for Oarai Town, the "Oarai Maritime Fireworks Festival 2026" is scheduled to launch a record-high 20,000 fireworks. Expected to be even more bustling than last year, the event also plans to feature an aerobatic airshow by the "Whiskey Papa Competition Aerobatics Team" led by Masahiro Utsumi, the first and only Japanese pilot to hold the FAA's (Federal Aviation Administration) highest-level Unlimited Class airshow license. Set against Oarai Sun Beach, this fireworks festival will be a special summer night event combining spectacular fireworks illuminating the night sky with a thrilling airshow. It is expected to captivate many visitors as a summer tradition of Oarai Town.
