At Shiroyama Park in Motegi Town, Tochigi Prefecture, approximately 300,000 red spider lilies (higanbana) dye the entire slope bright red, creating a magical landscape. The sight, resembling a sprawling red carpet, captivates visitors. During this season, Shiroyama Park is adorned with red spider lilies, signaling the arrival of autumn. Vehicles are prohibited inside the park, and a paid shuttle bus operates from a temporary parking lot to ensure safety. Please access this rare hillside colony of red spider lilies by shuttle bus or on foot. Shiroyama Park is a park where visitors can enjoy seasonal flowers throughout the year: cherry blossoms in spring, hydrangeas in summer, red spider lilies in autumn, and wintersweet in winter.
