About this event
The Joshu Numata Sanada Festival will be held in Numata City, Gunma Prefecture, the home of the Sanada clan. The venue features many history-themed events, such as powerful matchlock gun demonstrations and hands-on Sengoku experiences for parents and children. Stage events will feature dynamic performances by samurai warrior troupes associated with the Sanada clan. This year, Higashiagatsuma Town, which has deep ties to the Sanada clan, will also participate, offering specialty product sales, a shuriken throwing experience by the Agatsuma Sanada Ninja (Agatsuma-shu), and ninja stage performances. This event is recommended for history buffs, families, and anyone who wants to enjoy the local charm. In addition, the Numata City Industrial Exhibition and Sale will be held concurrently, showcasing many of Numata's local specialties and famous products.
