Night Walk in Takayama 2026

About this event

"Night Walk in Takayama 2026" is a popular autumn event where participants walk under the beautiful starry sky of Takayama Village, which has enacted a light environment ordinance. Two courses—a 3 km course and a 6 km course—are prepared for families, couples, and friends to enjoy. After a stargazing class at Gunma Astronomical Observatory, the walk starts from Gunma Astronomical Observatory; the 3 km course heads toward Tokyo Dualer School (formerly NIPPON Omotenashi College), while the 6 km course leads to Roadside Station Nakayama Basin (Michi-no-Eki Nakayama Bonchi), allowing walkers to stroll while gazing up at the starry sky. After reaching the goal, delicious food and hot springs can also be enjoyed. Within the event, participants can enjoy a night walk orientation, night walk scenes, post-goal meals, a night market, and more.
